The roots of Henry Williams & Son (Roads) Limited date back to the 19th Century where an early generation is referred to in the records of Thomas Telford.

The founder of the company, Henry Williams, at the turn of the 20th Century, operated canal barges along the Shropshire Union canal delivering quarry stone into the counties of Shropshire and Cheshire.

NRSWA Reinstatements

The company founder's son, Frank Henry Williams, a major in the Royal Engineers, constructed and maintained supply lines behind the trenches during the First World War. On his return, he operated various quarries within North Wales and Shropshire and begun the road surfacing arm of the company constructing army camps and airfields during the Second World War.

Resin Aggregates

Incorporated as Henry Williams & Son (Roads) Ltd. in 1958, the company remains a family owned limited company. It has an annual turnover of between £1m and £2m p.a. with a seasonal workforce of up to 40 employees.

Products and services include surface dressing, highway N.R.S.W.A. reinstatements, a full range of highway construction and associated works and specialist plant hire.
